Here’s what we were doing while the other children in our town were shuffling, uniform-clad, back to school this week …

Homeschooling just gets better and better.

Another great week. I always love seeing the things you do with your adorable kids. All that river exploring, swinging and swimming looks awesome. We live near a school so we have felt very blessed to be learning at home when we see school buses rolling by! The puppy is so cute!!!!
Ahh thanks, Karen. π Yes the river we played at is a stone’s throw from my children’s old school, which made us especially appreciative!
That is an awesome back to school week!
It so has been. I’m not sure it can get much better than that. We should probably do some schoolwork next week, but over here we have to make the most of the good weather while we have it!
The rope swing is really fun! What an incredible week. Hurray for a fantastic not-back-to-school week! π
It was so fun. I’m so glad I had a few goes I was actually aching a little today – that’s the most fun workout I’ve had in a while! π
Love, Love, Love this! Thanks for linking up at Friendship Friday. Please do come again! I’d love to have you!
( I was inspired to create my own “Welcome” sign)
Thank you so much, Sylvia! I certainly will π
My 12yo is looking over my shoulder and keeps saying, “I want to do that” as we look at your pictures. So it must’ve been a fun week!
LOL Jamie! When I published the post my husband emailed back – from work – “You are making those of us in school quite jealous :-)”
What a “terrible rough” start to the year! π We had a “terrible start” too. One day we played in waterfalls. Sheesh! LOL Welcome back to another year!
It’s a hard life, isn’t it Jessy? Off to check out your waterfalls…
It looks like a fun week. We are not yet back to school either.
It was fun, Beth. Thank you for stopping by.
I love that we have the flexibility to do fun things when all the other kids have to go back to school. π It looks like a very fun not back to school week!
The freedom to arrange our own days and weeks is wonderful, isn’t it? π
Looks like such a fun week!
Oh it really was!
What a refreshing week. Your kids pictures made me smile. Lots of artistic and liberating learning!!! Love it.
Thanks, Chrissy. The picture of your children and especially their blanket and cushion fort made me smile too π
Wow! What a brilliant week and such a lovely place to live near, my boys would love it there. Lovely photos π
Thank you Angela! We are very lucky to be so close to such a beautiful river. Although my son did once fall in, in the middle of winter! Only up to his waist luckily! π
Looks like you all had a wonderful week. Great photos!
Thank you! We did π
Great ways to enjoy the outdoors!
#countrykids
Definitely some of the best!
I’m with you on the river fun – we are fortunate to have our own here at Coombe. You have lots of great photos from your outdoor fun and the new puppy is very cute. Thanks for linking up and sharing with Country Kids.
Thanks, Fiona. So many wonderful pictures of outdoor fun over at your blog this week – thank you for hosting! Lucinda
Great pics!
I was really sad to see my kids go back to school. So many people saying ‘I can’t wait for them to go back’ made me feel even sadder.
Thanks!
I know what you mean. Isn’t it great we enjoy our kids so much? I hope yours settle into (new) schools well and you get to enjoy a gorgeous end-of-summer and autumn π
